Features

Areal Assault. The monkey combines its fly move with a single melee or ranged attack. It must fly at least 10 feet. It gains +2 to hit and +2 to damage when it makes this attack.

Flyby. The monkey doesn't provoke opportunity attacks when it flies out of an enemy's reach.

Actions

Multiattack. The monkey can use either two slam attacks and a bite attack, two dart attacks or one areal assault. This ability is negated on the turn the monkey uses Aerial Assault.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +0 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 2 (1d4) piercing damage.

Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +0 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 3 (1d6) bludgeoning damage.

Rock. Ranged Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, range 20 ft. (horizontal), one creature. Hit: 5 (1d4+3) bludgeoning damage. Soldier monkeys usually carry darts instead of rocks. A flying monkey can only carry one rock at a time. It must use an action to pick up another one.

Dart (Soldiers Only). Ranged Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, range 20/60 ft., one creature. Hit: 5 (1d4+3) piercing damage. Only soldiers carry darts.

Reactions

Flighty.

Soldiers

Flying monkeys are sometimes used as light infantry by some armies. They are intelligent enough to train and carry out simple instructions. However, are not tough enough to be shock troops. Flying monkeys that are soldiers usually wear leather armor and are armed with darts.
