Features

Disperse. If the swarm takes damage from an attack to which they are vulnerable (see above), the swarm will disperse for 1 minute, after which they resume the attack (usually counts as a new encounter), unless they are less than 1/4 strength. Dispersing a pixil swarm does not award XP unless they do not resume the attack. While dispersed, they cannot be attacked.

Magic Resistance. Pixils have resistance to magical damage, and have advantage on saving throws against spells and magical effects.

Swarm. The swarm can occupy another creature's space and vice versa, and the swarm can move through any opening large enough for a Tiny creature (see description) to pass. The swarm can't regain hit points or gain temporary hit points magically or by spending hit dice.

Actions

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 0 ft.; all creatures in the swarm's space. Hit: 10 (4d4) piercing damage, or 5 (2d4) piercing damage if the swarm has half of its hit points or fewer. The target bit must make a DC 18 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the target has disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks for 10 minutes; on a successful save the effect lasts only until the end of the target's next turn.

Description

Pixils are tiny (less than 1/2 inch long) unintelligent humanoid creatures that look like extremely small pixies or sprites with wasp-like wings. They congregate in swarms.

Rarity

Pixil swarms are common in the Feywild and Feydark. Pixil swarms are rare in the other parallel planes, and unheard of on other Planes.
