Satyr Overview  [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6]

Description

Satyrs resembled stout men with fur covered lower bodies and cloven hooves similar to that of a goat. Horns grew from their heads in a variety of shapes and sizes, from small nubs to curling ones akin to a ram. They were typically seen sporting facial hair.[7] [8]

Behavior

Satyrs were well known for being curious and incredibly hedonistic. They were willing to go to any length to achieve their desires, giving little thought to the consequences of their actions, and often roped other creatures into participating in debauchery.[7] [8]

Society

Due to their hedonistic nature, satyrs were known to frequently join in the celebration of holidays regardless of what they were for.[7]

Satyrs in elven woods were known to believe that it was lucky to see a dragon when it was raining.[9] [8]

Variant: Satyr Pipes

[10] Some Satyr carry panpipes. The pipes can be played as an action with one of the following effects:

  • Charming Melody.
  • Frightening Strain.
  • Gentle Lullaby.
