Animated skeletons are created by necrotic magic. It takes the skeleton of a normal creature and imbues it with the ability to move and a limited intelligence.
You may apply this template to any living (not undead or constructs) creature with a skeleton or exoskeleton (i.e. this cannot be applied to oozes, plants, etc.)
Ability Scores. Skeletons have a Constitution of 15 and the following maximums: Intelligence 3, Wisdom 8, and Charisma 5.
Type. A skeleton's type changes from its original type to undead, and it no longer requires air, food, drink, or sleep.
Damage Vulnerability. A skeleton has vulnerable to bludgeoning damage.
Damage Immunities. A skeleton has immunity to poison. It also retains any immunities it had prior to becoming a skeleton.
Condition Immunities. The skeleton is immune to being poisoned. It also doesn't suffer from exhaustion.
Senses. The skeleton has darkvision with a range of 60 feet.
Languages. It understands the languages it knew in life, but cannot speak.
