Alien Fate of the Nostromo - Deadly Alien Variant [1]

Alien - Fate of the Nostromo

v1.1

Setup Changes

  1. Set up as for a 5 player game, regardless of the number of players.
  2. Shuffle all five of the crew placards and place them face up in a column on the table. This is the order in which the crew members will become active.
  3. Place 4 Individual Morale Tokens on each of the crew member cards.
  4. Place an "Active Crew Member" token on the crew placard at the top of the column.

Play Changes

  1. Each player, on their turn, will:
    1. Take the "Crew Action Phase" using the "Active Crew Member"
    2. Take the "Encounter Phase"
    3. Move the "Active Crew Member" token to the next face up crew placard in the column (or the top face-up crew member if the active token was on the bottom crew member placard).

Encountering the Alien Changes

  1. Take the appropriate amount of morale damage off the morale track.
  2. For each crew member in the space where the Alien was encountered, remove the same number of individual morale tokens from the crew member's placard.
    1. If the crew member has individual morale tokens left, follow the rules as written for the crew member.
    2. If the crew member has no remaining individual morale tokens left the crew member is dead. Do the following:
      1. Remove scrap and items from the crew member's inventory (placing them back in the scrap pile and return items to their off-board storage area).
      2. Turn the active crew member placard face down and remove the crew member figure from the board.
    3. If there are no more face-up crew member placards, the game is over and the players have lost.

End Game Changes

  1. When you complete the final objective, if you are down to one face-up crew member, discard the "Cut off Every Bulkhead and Every Vent" and "Blow It Out into Space" Final Mission cards then randomly select a Final Mission.
  2. If you have more than one face-up crew member and the Final Mission is "Cut off Every Bulkhead and Every Vent" or "Blow It Out into Space" and later are reduced to one crew member, you loose (as you cannot complete the Final Mission.)
