You have learned to tap into the primal power surrounding you to cast spells.

Cantrips

you know three cantrips of your choice from the druid or sorcerer spell lists. You learn additional cantrips of your choice at higher levels, as shown in the Cantrips Known column of the Rage Caster table.

Spell Slots

The Rage Caster table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your spells of 1st level and higher. To cast one of these rage caster spells, you must expend a slot of the spell’s level or higher. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a long rest.

For example, if you know the 1st-level spell burning hands and have a 1st-level and a 2nd-level spell slot available, you can cast burning hands using either slot.

Spells Known of 1st Level and Higher

You know three 1st-level spells of your choice from the druid or sorcerer spell lists.

The Spells Known column of the Rage Caster table shows when you learn more spells of your choice. Each of these spells must be of a level for which you have spell slots. For instance, when you reach 7th level barbarian, you can learn one new spell of 1st or 2nd level.

Additionally, when you gain a level in this class, you can choose one of the spells you know and replace it with another spell from the druid or sorcerer spell lists, which also must be of a level for which you have spell slots.

Spellcasting Ability

Constitution is your spellcasting ability for your rage caster spells. You use your Constitution whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Constitution modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a rage caster spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.

Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier

Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier

Ritual Caster

You can cast a spell you know as a ritual if that spell has the ritual tag. You don’t need to have the spell prepared.

Spellcasting Focus

You can use an melee weapon, that you have proficiency with, as a spellcasting focus for your rage caster spells.

Ragecasting

3rd level Rage Caster feature.
While raging, you may forgo one weapon attack and instead cast a cantrip that causes damage. In addition, you may add your rage damage modifier to the damage done by the cantrip.

This is an exception to the rule that you cannot cast spells while raging. This casting counts as "attacking a hostile creature" for purposes of maintaining rage.

You may not utilize this function if you are making a reckless attack

Additional Resistances

6th level Rage Caster feature.
You draw upon the primal power to resist damage. After a long rest you gain resistance to two damage types of your choice from the following: acid, cold, fire, force, lightning, necrotic, poison, psychic, radiant, or thunder.

At the end of a short rest, you can exchange resistance to one of the damage types you had chosen for another from the above list.

Spellbreaker

10th level Rage Caster feature.
You learn both the counterspell and dispel magic spells. These do not count against the number of spells you know. If you know one or both of these spells you may learn another 3rd level spell from the druid or sorcerer spell lists.

You may cast counterspell once as a reaction without expending a spell slot, even if raging. Once you have used this feature, you may not do so again until you finish a long rest.

14th level Rage Caster feature.
