Challenge. The duelist may use his action to challenge an opponent that can see or hear him. The opponent must succeed in a Charisma saving throw, DC 15, or agree to dual with the duelist, one-on-one. This may be to first blood, surrender, or death. No other creature may willingly interfere with the duel.

First Strike. When in a duel (see Challenge above), the Duelist has +10 to his initiative roll.

Actions

Rapier. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d8+3) piercing damage.

Lunge Attack (Recharge: 5-6). The Duelist may make a spring attack, adding 5 ft. reach to his Rapier attack (for a reach of 10 ft. total).

Reactions

Parry. Once per round, when hit by a melee attack, the duelist may use his reaction to parry the attack. He may make a Dexterity saving throw (DC equals the attack roll), on a success the attack is negated.

Duelist

A duelist can be either a professional assassin who picks duels as a legal way to kill his target. Or a duelist could be just a braggadocio who likes to pick fights for fun (if it is a true test of his skill, all the better).
