The vermin will follow the verbal orders of the verminster for up to 1 hour. CR 0 creatures will not fight for the verminster, but others summoned will, immediately following the verminster in initiative order. The summoned creatures can be dismissed using a bonus action. This ability will not recharge while another summoning of vermin are under the control of the verminster.

The xvart verminster is a gifted member of its species, highly honored in xvart society. They have an especially keen relationship with bats and rats of all types. It is said that they can even summon such creatures for special missions or to defend the xvart.
