5e:Sapphire Dragon
Sapphire dragons were territorial, militaristic dragons who normally lived in the Underdark. The majority of their diet was composed of giant spiders, and sapphire dragons considered all the evil races of the Underdark their enemies. Their breath weapon was a blast of noise that caused panic. Because of their sparkling, multi-blue-colored scales, they were sometimes mistaken for blue dragons. [1]

Lair Actions
[2] When fighting inside its lair, an sapphire dragon can use lair actions. On initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties), the dragon takes a lair action to cause one of the following effects; the dragon can’t use the same effect two rounds in a row:
- Awesome Thunder.
- Beguiling Whisper.
- Stone Passage.
Regional Effects
[2] The region surrounding a legendary sapphire dragon's lair is altered by the dragon's magic, creating one or more of the following effects:
- Crystal Profusion.
- Stony Sight.
- Telepathic Enhancement.
- Thriving Wildlife.
If the dragon dies, the effects fade over the course of 1d10 days…
