Sunlight is mentioned in many places in the SRD5 and other official Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition publications. However, it is not specifically defined. Areas in sunlight are in bright light, but not all bright light is considered 'sunlight'.

Sunlight has a special effect on certain creatures and objects. Exambples:

• Sunlight Sensitivity
• Sunlight Hypersensitivity

Sunlight is the light that is radiated from the nearest star (often called the Sun).
