Heroism is a spell in 5th edition.

5e Spell Heroism [SRD5 OGL/CC-BY] [1] [2]
1st-level enchantment
Casting Time: 1 action
Range:  Touch
Components: V, S
Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute
Scales: Yes
Casters: Bard, Paladin
Domain Spell for: Unity Domain

A willing creature [3] you touch is imbued with bravery. Until the spell ends, the creature is immune to being frightened and gains temporary hit points [4] equal to your spellcasting ability modifier at the start of each of its turns. When the spell ends, the target loses any remaining temporary hit points from this spell.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, you can target one additional creature for each slot level above 1st.

  2. domain spell (Unity Domain) — Ben Petrisor, et. al.. UA 2020 Subclasses Part 2 (5e) (2020-02-06). Wizards of the Coast.. This feature is unofficial. See Unearthed Arcana notes on playtest material.
  3. Rule Tip: You're a Creature. A creature is anything that belongs to one of the creature types listed in the introduction of the Monster Manual (5e). Player characters — including your character — are all creatures, and most of them are humanoids, one of the game’s types. - UA 2020 Subclasses Part 3.
  4. Rule Tip: Temporary Hit Points Don't Stack. If you have temporary hit points and receive more of them, you don’t add them together, unless a rule says you can. Instead, you decide which temporary hit points to keep. For more information on temporary hit points, see chapter 9 of the Player's Handbook (5e). - Guildmasters' Guide to Ravnica p.27, UA 2020 Subclasses Part 1, UA 2020 Subclasses Part 3, Player's Handbook (5e) p.198 (different wording).
