This trait had two slightly different verbage. The first was for a creature without a language and the second was for a creature that can speak a language.

Mimicry. [1] The creature can mimic simple sounds it has heard, such as a person whispering, a baby crying, or an animal chittering. A creature that hears the sounds can tell they are imitations with a successful DC ___ Wisdom (Insight) check.
