Bite. Melee Attack Roll: Piercing damage.

Eye Rays. Random eye ray:

  1. Charm Ray. Wisdom Saving Throw: Failure: Psychic damage, and Charmed. Success: Half damage only.
  2. Paralyzing Ray. Constitution Saving Throw: Failure: Paralyzed.
  3. Fear Ray. Wisdom Saving Throw: Failure: Psychic damage, and Frightened. Success: Half damage only.
  4. Slowing Ray. Constitution Saving Throw: Failure: Necrotic damage, Speed halved; can’t take Reactions; can either to an action or a Bonus Action, not both. Success: Half damage only.
  5. Enervation Ray. Constitution Saving Throw: Failure: Poison damage, and Poisoned, can’t regain Hit Points. Success: Half damage only.
  6. Telekinetic Ray. Strength Saving Throw: Failure: Moves the target and it is Restrained.
  7. Sleep Ray. Wisdom Saving Throw: (Constructs and Undead always succeeds). Failure: Unconscious.
  8. Petrification Ray. Constitution Saving Throw: First Failure: Restrained. Second Failure: Petrified.
  9. Disintegration Ray. Dexterity Saving Throw: Failure: Force damage. If object, disintegrates into dust. Success: Half damage. Failure or Success: If reduced to 0 Hit Points, it disintegrates into dust.
  10. Death Ray. Dexterity Saving Throw: Failure: Necrotic damage. Success: Half damage. Failure or Success: Dies if reduced to 0 Hit Points. 

Bonus Actions

Antimagic Cone. Cone effect, Antimagic Field (effect also negates Eye Rays). 

Legendary Actions

Legendary Action Uses: 3 (4 in Lair).

Chomp. Bite attacks.

Glare. Eye Rays.

The region containing a beholder’s lair is twisted by its presence, creating the following effects:

  • Scopophobia. Creatures feel they are being watched.
  • Warping Terrain. Chance to fall Prone

If the beholder dies or moves its lair elsewhere, these effects end immediately.
