Traits

Living Shadow. In Dim Light or Darkness, has Resistance to damage (except Force, Psychic, Radiant).

Sunlight Sensitivity. [2] While in sunlight, the dragon has Disadvantage on ability checks and attack rolls. 

Actions

Multiattack.

Rend. Melee Attack Roll: Slashing damage plus Necrotic damage.

Shadow Breath (Recharge 5-6). Dexterity Saving Throw: Each creature in Cone. Failure: Necrotic damage. Success: Half damage. Failure or Success: Humanoid at 0 Hit Points dies and spawns a Shadow. 

Bonus Actions

Shadow Stealth. [2] While in Dim Light or Darkness, the dragon takes the Hide action. 

Legendary Actions

Legendary Action Uses: 3 (4 in Lair).

Pounce. Moves and makes one Rend attack.

Veil of Shadow. Shadow Stealth and one creature takes Necrotic damage.

The region around a shadow dragon’s lair manifests the following effects:

Negative Energy Suffusion. Healing spells heal less.

Stifling Shadows. Effects that normally create Bright Light create Dim Light instead. Stealth checks are buffed.

Effects end immediately if the dragon dies or moves lair. </includeony>
