Genasi Overview

Genasi (pronounced: /dʒɛnˈɑːsi/ jen-AH-see[1][2]) were planetouched humans,[3][4] infused with the power of the elements.[5][4][6] Along with aasimar and tieflings, genasi were the most common planetouched found on the world of Toril.[7]

Technically speaking, the genasi were not a race but rather a general classification of humans who had a heritage (usually unknown) that included some planar being from one of the elemental planes,[13] most often a genie,[3][4] (dao, djinn, efreet, marid, or jann,[8]) which is whence their name is derived.[5] [9]
