[1] In the Shadowfell, balhannoths make their lairs near places inhabited by creatures they hunt.[1]
Lair Actions
[1] When fighting inside its lair, an balhannoth can use lair actions. On initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties), the aberration takes a lair action to cause one of the following effects; the aberration can’t use the same effect two rounds in a row:
- Teleport.
- Vanish
- Warp Terrain
Regional Effects
[1] A region containing a balhannoth's lair becomes warped by the creature's unnatural presence, which creates one or more of the following effects:
- Sense Desires.
- Supernatural Lure.
If the balhannoth dies, these effects end immediately.
