Design Note: Maneuver Updates Here are the main updates to the Maneuvers:

Maneuvers are means that the Battle Master can use to enhance attacks or defense. Often they are powered by Superiority Dice.

Maneuvers

The maneuvers are presented in alphabetical order.

Ambush

Summary: Expend a Superiority Die to add its roll to a Stealth check or initiative roll.

Bait and Switch

Summary: Expend a Superority Die and some movement to exchange places with a willing creature on your turn. This does not pro­voke Opportunity Attacks. This buffs the AC of both of you.

Commander's Strike

Summary: On your turn, expend a Superiority Die and sacrifice one attack to enable an ally to use a Reaction to make a buffed attack.

Commanding Presence

Summary: Expend a Superiority Die to buff an Intimidation, Performance, or a Persuasion check.

Disarming Attack

Summary: Expend a Superiority Die when you hit with a weapon attack to cause the target of your attack to save (Strength) or drop an object you choose.

Distracting Strike

Summary: When you hit a creature, expend a Superiority Die to buff the Damage and buff the next attack against the creature (except by you).

Evasive Footwork

Summary: Expend a Superiority Die and move on your turn to buff your AC.

Feinting Attack

Summary: Expend a Superiority Die and a Bonus Action to buff your next attack roll and damage against a creature in reach.

Goading Attack

Summary: After hitting a creature, expend a Superiority Die to hinder that creature's attacks against other targets (Wisdom save to avoid).

Lunging Attack

Summary: Expend a Superiority Die and Bonus Action to Dash. If you then attack and hit a target, buff the damage.

Maneuvering Attack

Summary: After hitting a creature, expend a Superiority Die to allow an ally to use its Reaction to move and make an Opportunity Attack against the creature you hit.

Menacing Attack

Summary: After hitting a creature, expend a Superiority Die to force it to save (Wisdom) or be Frightened.

Parry

Summary: When damaged by another creature's melee attack, can use a Reaction and expend a Superiority Die to reduce the damage.

Precision Attack

Summary: If you miss an attack roll, expend a Superiority Die and add the result to possibly succeed on the attack.

Pushing Attack

Summary: After hitting a creature with an attack, expend a Superiority Die to buff the damage and push the target (Strength save to avoid push).

Rally

Summary: Expend a Superiority Die and Bonus Action to grant an ally Temporary Hit Points.

Riposte

Summary: Use a Reaction to a creature missing you with an melee attack and expend a Superiority Die to immediately make a melee attack back with buffed damage.

Sweeping Attack

Summary: After hitting a creature with a melee attack, expend a Superiority Die to possibly extend the attack against a different, nearby creature.

Tactical Assessment

Summary: Expend a Superiority Die to buff a History or Investigation check.

Trip Attack

Summary: After hitting a creature with an attack, expend a Superiority Die to buff the damage and have a chance to knock the target Prone (Strength save to avoid).
