Features

Keen Smell. ^[3] The formian has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.

Pack Tactics. ^[3] The formian has advantage on an attack roll against a creature if at least one of the formian's allies is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally isn't incapacitated.

Actions

Multiattack. The formian makes 4 attacks

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (1d8+6) piercing damage and, if the target is Large or smaller creature, the target is restrained. On its turn the target may use an action to make an contested Athletics or Acrobatics check against the formian's Athletics check; on a success the target is no longer restrained.

If the formian has a creature restrained, it cannot use its bite action against a creature other than the creature it has restrained. And it may only make one bite against that target, but it automatically hits.

The formian may release the restrained target without requiring an action.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (1d6+6) slashing damage.

Sting. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 9 (1d4+6) piercing damage plus 8 (2d8) poison damage. The target creature must attempt a DC 12 Constitution saving throw, gaining the poisoned condition for 1 minute. If the target creature was stung before, this save is at disadvantage.

The formian warrior is about the size of a pony. Its form is designed for battle. They are agile, ferocious and fearless, often fighting to the death. Their large mandibles can grab and restrain large creatures. Their "arms" end in sharp claws providing it even more weapons.
